We can start out by giving our children books so they can feel good and secure about who they are.  Parents check out books by Author Crystal Swain-Bates – "Naturally Me", "Big Hair Don't Care", "Supermommy", "Color My Fro", "The Colorful Adventures of Cody & Jay" and "The Colorful Adventures of Zoe & Star".  These books are educational as well as helping to  uplift our children's self esteem.  These books feature African American children but should be shared and read by all races.  Replace some toys with books for the children, they will love you for it. See and purchase books at goldestkarat.com and/or amazon.com
