This tasty smoothy is chock full of tasty ingredients.
Super fruits blueberries and strawberries help to boost your brain power and are great
for your eyesight and skin. Adding the oats makes it deliciously thick.
For 2 glasses of smoothie, you’ll need: 1/2 cup (120ml) of orange juice. 1/2 cup (120 ml) of milk. 1/2 cup (120 ml) of plain yoghurt. 3 tbsp of raw rolled oats. Just over 1/2 cup (150g) each of blueberries
and strawberries. (Make sure you take the green tops off the
strawberries first) And the equipment you’ll need: A blender. [sound effects] Put all the ingredients into a blender and
run it on a medium to high speed until everything is well mixed and smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Blueberries are one of the healthiest fruits
around! They help to strengthen you immune system
because they contain high levels of natural anti oxidants. They also contain the carotenoid ‘lutein’
which clinical studies show, helps keep your eyes healthy. Strawberries keep you young! They are rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids,
which help protect the walls of the fine capillaries in the upper layers of the skin, delaying
the appearance of the threadlike veins that come with age. Adding yogurt is a great way to introduce
probiotic bacteria. it also adds calcium along with a little protein
which slows down the absorption of sugars from the fruits, so your smoothies won’t give
the sugar-rush of ready made ones.
