Bookshelf Scavenger Hunt Challenge! [CC]

Hey everyone, it’s Maddie and Bee, and today we’re
going to be playing a game that we haven’t done in a really long time and
that is the bookshelf scavenger hunt! We’ve decided to make it a competition
so each of us have come up with ten books that the other needs to find and
we’re going to time it to see who does it the quickest. B: Who’s gonna go first?
M: Do you want to go? B: Uh. M: Let’s go alphabetical. M: (off screen) Ready? B: No! M: First is to pick a book
that has red on the cover but can’t be chosen from the red shelf. B: oh it’s gonna
be really hard with the fairies on there. M: I’d hoped you’d have to pick one from there.
B: Team Awkward by Katy Birchall M: the next is book that we read
pre-release B: The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner. M: Next
is a book that includes mixed-media. B: oh gosh, this is so much harder than you
think. Where’s Everything Everything? M: That’s
in my room. B: okay, Radio Silence by Alice Oseman. M: Number four is a book
with best friends as the protagonists B: There had to be casualties. I haven’t read it
but no, ugh. I know. Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas. That’s a reach.
M: Number five is a book what we read together. B: A Little Something Different by
Sandy Hall. M: Number six is a book that I haven’t read. B: Vendetta by Catherine Doyle.
M: Next is a book with typography on the cover. B: This is kind of typography… Trouble
by Non Pratt. M: Eight is an author whose surname begins with the letter D. B: Surname?
Oh, Hollow Pike by Juno Dawson. M: Next is the second book in a series. B: Star
Cursed by Jessica Spotswood M: and a last book you have to find this
one with POC protagonist. B: Wing Jones by Katherine Webber. M: I can reveal you managed to
do it in three minutes and four seconds. B: That’s not bad. M: I’m so nervous! B: Again, I
will read the first one and then click start. Number one: a book with a boy on the
cover. M: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan. B: Number two, a book with a question as the title. M: Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple. B: A book with an unpealable sticker. Unpealable sticker on there? Um,
okay, oh any of these? oh yes! B: No, that’s peel-able! Why haven’t we peeled that off? M: I don’t know, um, this one! Dream a Little Dream up by Giovanna Fletcher which has a tickled pink cance sticker on it. B: okay,
a title that’s six words all over. M: that’s four…that’s five. I need a book that has, like, a subtitle. Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn. B:
Brilliant choice. Next, an alliterative title M: Would something like Blood Red Road
count, because that has a – B: maybe but we do
have purely alliterative titles on here. M: Okay, I’ll try go for one of those. I probably
skimmed over one by – no wait, This Savage Song just has ‘this’ as well. B: Okay I’ll
have to let you have that pick, just pick one like that. M: This Savage Song by V E Schwab.
B: okay, okay, this is my hardest one. Two books that rhyme. M: What does that mean?
B: books with rhyming titles. M: Oh no! B: I can see – there’s definitely a pair on
the yellow shelf. M: Okay. One and Bombs is a reach. Sun and One!
B: There you go! M: I’ll give you the Sun by Jandy Nelson
and One by Sarah Crossan. B: Nice. A book with flowers on the cover. M: Bone Gap by
Laura Ruby. B: An author that shares your initials, so MH. M: I’ll have to, like, proper go
now, look at everything. Okay. I feel like I’m not even looking at
names I’m just like ‘what’s going on?’ B: okay I’ll give you a hint. It’s on the blue
shelf. M: In a fairy zone! Unconventional by Maggie Harcourt. B: A book that you want me to read. M: easy, Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner. B: A book with three or more colors on the front. M Aurabel by Laura Dockrill. B: That took you, like, four and a half minutes four minutes and 26 seconds. M: oh no! B: I think that’s because, you
know, I messed you up with that rhyming one, and I had to give you two hints for
it, so mine was meaner. M: so, Bee was the obvious winner of that scavenger hunt.
B: Feel free to use any of our prompts if you want to mix up the scavenger hunt
tag yourself, if you’ve already done it before,
M: thank you everyone is so much for watching and we’ll see you next time, bye!
